Anime fans come closer!
The rest of the world might not understand why we watch it, they may think we’re simply watching cartoons, but a real one knows that Anime are not cartoons, they’re far greater and better.
In my opinion, these are 10 of the greatest anime of all time, in no particular order of course!
The ones that slapped, broke us, and made us scream “NANI?!”
1. Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)
Genre: Action, Mystery, Post-Apocalyptic
This anime starts with giant naked titans eating people and somehow ends up being a political thriller with betrayal, time travel, and moral dilemmas. Eren Yeager went from “I’ll kill all the titans” to “I’ll destroy the world” real quick.
This particular Anime will teach you to trust no one, not even your reflection.
I know how many times i got shocked, because how did one person go from being a sweet person to a human eating titan in seconds!
The hype around AOT is absolutely valid!
2. Death Note
Genre: Psychological Thriller, Supernatural
A high school genius, Light Yagami gets a notebook that kills people.
He embarks on a mission to rid the world of criminals.
What follows is a cat-and-mouse game between him and the world’s smartest detective.
It’s like Sherlock Holmes vs. a demon-possessed Elon Musk.
“With great power comes great paranoia.” and if you’ve seen death note, you know exactly what I mean!
3. Naruto / Naruto Shippuden
Genre: Action, Adventure, Coming-of-Age
From being the village outcast to becoming Hokage, Naruto’s journey is one of pain, perseverance, and power-ups.
The friendships, betrayals, and emotional trauma.
If you’re an Anime OG, then you must have sat through all 220 episodes of Naruto without flinching.
Naruto is actually the mother that mothered their mother!
4. One Piece
Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Comedy
This anime has over 1,000 episodes and still manages to stay fresh.
As a young boy, Monkey D. Luffy dreamed of becoming a pirate, inspired by the thrilling tales of the legendary “Red-Haired” Shanks, but everything changed the day he accidentally ate the mysterious Gum-Gum Devil Fruit, granting him a rubbery, stretchable body and taking away his ability to swim.
That twist of fate set him on a wild journey to become the King of the Pirates and find the One Piece.
5. Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
Genre: Action, Supernatural, Historical
Tanjiro’s family is murdered by demons, and his sister Nezuko becomes one. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps to fight back and murder the demons that slaughtered his family.
The animation? Movie level. The emotions? Gut wrenching.
This anime with mess with your feelings and emotions, so get ready.
6. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi)
Genre: Action, Fantasy, Drama
Two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, try to bring their mom back to life using alchemy.
It goes horribly wrong and what follows is a deep, philosophical journey about sacrifice, war, and redemption.
7. Jujutsu Kaisen
Genre: Action, Supernatural, Dark Fantasy
Curses are real, and sorcerers fight them. Enter Yuji Itadori, who eats a cursed finger (yes, really) and becomes the host of a powerful demon. The fights are insane, and Gojo? A walking flex.
If vibes were a person, it would be Satoru Gojo.
8. Bleach
Genre: Action, Supernatural, Shonen
The Aura level in this anime needs to be studied. The “Bankai” alone has its own aura!
Ichigo Kurosaki accidentally becomes a Soul Reaper when Rukia Kuchiki risks her life to protect him from a Hollow who attacks Ichigo’s twin younger sisters.
Although initially reluctant to accept his responsibility, he takes her place, and during this time they discover that a few classmates are spiritually aware and have their own powers.
He gets dragged into a world of spirits, swords, and stylish chaos.
9. Dragon Ball Z
Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Martial Arts
This Anime is the OG, the blueprint (IYKYK).
Goku and friends scream, power up, and fight aliens, androids, and gods.
It’s the reason we all tried to go Super Saiyan in the mirror as kids.
If you haven’t seen dragon ball Z, then you’re sleeping on greatness.
10. Hunter x HunterGenre: Adventure, Fantasy, Psychological
Gon wants to find his dad. Sounds simple, right? Wrong.
