2025 is definitely the year of babies! Since the beginning of the year to mid year, news of celebrities having babies have been on the internet.
Our celebrities are becoming mum’s and Dad’s right in front of our eyes, and we’re definitely ready to become online aunties and uncles.
If you’re wondering how many celebrities have welcomed babies this year, well here’s a quick rundown.
1. Mercy Chinwo Blessed
Mercy chinwo recently welcomed her second baby in the month of August!
The couple announced this information via their Instagram platform, shocking speculating fans.

Some fans in her comment section already guessed she was pregnant, while some said she already had the baby, before she finally revealed. See ehn, when they say “Nothing is hidden under the sun” they truly forgot to add “Especially in Nigeria”, because what! How do they guess so correctly.
2. Toke Makinwa
Toke shook the internet with her magnificent pregnancy reveal. Yes, Toke is having a baby! She took the whole world by surprise, shutting up trolls and showing them that every moment is Toke’s moment.
She announced this beautiful news via a video on her Instagram and X(Twitter) platform, slaying with her beautiful bump and her pregnancy glow.
Is August blessed or what?!
Toke is about to become a mum and we are so sat to witness this beautiful journey all the way.

3. Priscilla Ojo (Mrs Nkambala)
On the 26th of July 2025, priscilla made up her mind to make us “Awwwwwww” all day long with her pregnancy reveal. She shared this amazing news with her cyber family via her social media platforms, sharing beautiful loved up pictures of she and her husband, Juma Jux and the little baby Nkambala in her belly.

Priscilla hadn’t announced but womb watchers had already declared her pregnant since her wedding in Lagos, Nigeria.
Were we shocked by her reveal? NO! we expected it sooner or later because the way they love each other shaaa.
4. Real Warri Pikin
If an award was given to the most secretive person in Nigeria, definitely, Real Warri Pikin would carry the cup, because no single womb watcher could guess. Actually, if ‘confuse your enemies’

On the 25th of April, Chizzy Alichi released beautiful maternity photos on Instagram.

7. Nengi
Yes, The Nengi Hampton, Ex reality show housemate shocked us the most!
Did we hear the gist around? Yes we did! Did we believe any of them? no we didn’t because there was no proof.
And boom! Nengi showed off her beautiful baby bump, as well as the arrival of her little bundle of joy on the 9th of March!
She’s been slaying motherhood, making it look flawless, and we’re definitely sat for this beautiful journey!
8. Chika Ike
Our Gen Z baddie in the early 2000s welcomed her baby girl on the 6th of March! She made this amazing reveal, showing us beautiful covered photos of her newborn in the hospital.
It was such an amazing moment to behold, seeing one of our favourite screen babies having a whole baby of her own!
Life really comes at you fast!
At this point, our IT girls definitely had a meeting and decided to give us another generation of beautiful talents!
It would be safe to say that 2025 is eventually the year of babies in Nollywood, and hey, it’s just August, it’s the season of babies, and the year is still young! who knows the next person to announce!
