Life can sometimes be very overwhelming, feels like you’re in a gladiator fight blindfolded.
Mental health dips don’t usually show up with flashing neon signs, but if you start noticing the following five signals, then it is time to slow down and take a break.

1. Your Sleep Schedule Is a Total Mess

If you’re suddenly going from “early bird” to “insomniac owl,” or finding yourself wide awake at 3 a.m. wondering where your favourite black polo disappeared to since 2020, or you have yourself struggling with racing thoughts or anxiety, then your mental health is slowly fading away.

I know it can be hard but try a consistent bedtime routine and avoid doomscrollingg on Instagram for hours.

2. You’re Irritated by Absolutely Everything

Why is your coworker chewing like she’s never seen food before? Why did your friend text “lol” instead of “haha”?

Hmmm, When tiny things feel like personal attacks, it could be a sign your emotional resilience is running low.
Breathe. Literally, box breathing (inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4) can calm your inner volcano.

3. You Lack Motivation to do anything

Lack of motivation, energy, or interest in anything, even stuff you used to love is a classic red flag.

If even bingeing shows feels like a chore, your mind may be entering burnout territory.

Start by leaving your bed, brushing your teeth, taking a bath or even going out for a small stroll.
Tiny victories still count.

4. Your Inner Critic Is Louder Than a Stadium Speaker

Do your thoughts sound something like “I’m the worst,” “Why am I like this,” or “Everyone secretly hates me”? That harsh self-talk is a major sign your mental health might need TLC (Tender love and care).

You deserve to be kind to yourself and here’s me telling you you’re doing a good job!

5. You’re Not Laughing at Memes Anymore

Okay, this one’s serious. If a Kraks TV post doesn’t make you smile, then your emotional connection may be fading.
A classic symptom of depression or emotional exhaustion.
Please, reach out.

It’s not weak to ask for help, it’s powerfully brave.

Mental health isn’t about being constantly happy. It’s about knowing when your brain’s throwing a tantrum in the background and having the courage to pause and say, “Alright it’s time to talk to someone”
