6 Best Positive Attitudes To Become More Confident

It’s a fresh week and what better way to start the week and slay your goals than to put up a confident attitude? Confidence has been known to open doors that skills cannot from time immemorial. When a confident person walks a room, their presence is felt and so is it reflected in their manner of speaking.

Confidence is also notable for building resilience, lowering anxiety, boosting morale, and fostering relationships. In this article, I will be giving out positive attitudes that confident people practice.

  1. I Can Do It

You do not always need to know your way around a situation, but having a can-do mindset can get you steps closer to your goal.

2. What’s the Way Forward

This is such a powerful question and reflects that you are not one to give in to fear or challenges. The phrase “what is the way forward” helps you focus more on a solution, rather than worry about what’s not working. That’s the attitude of a confident person.

3. Trust Your instincts

When trying to make a difficult decision, always trust your instincts. Get in tune with your body and listen carefully to your emotions. That right there is where your answer lies.

4. Always Embrace Feedback

Many struggle with welcoming feedback. It’s not their fault. Not everyone knows how to give constructive feedback. However, welcoming feedback opens you up to learning and overall improves your skills.

5. “I won’t tolerate that”

A massive part of living life on one’s terms is knowing where to draw the lines, setting healthy boundaries, and saying NO whenever necessary. People who lack confidence/low self-esteem often find themselves stuck in unhealthy relationships which is essentially detrimental to their mental health.

“Boundaries can help you assert what you’re OK and not OK with. Personal boundaries in relationships are necessary because you may feel resentful and exhausted without them.” – Counselor Marissa Moore.

6. “Thank you For This”

That you are confident does not make you arrogant. Confident people can take feedback because the way people perceive them, does not define them. So whenever someone tells you something or corrects you, be appreciative of them. It takes nothing away from you.
