Hey Besties, they say living in Lagos is hard, but finding love in Lagos is even harder. I’m sure many are familiar with the popular social media saying, “Love does not exist in Lagos”.
It’s crazy to think but that’s actually the reality of it. Because tell me why many are yet to meet the love of their lives in this mega city.
Anyhoo, I’m here on a rescue mission as I have hacked into the dating scene. I’ll be giving you tips and tricks to help you navigate your Lagos love life.
Don’t say I did nothing for you!
1. Be Active on social media
If you like, be there forming hard girl and don’t reply to DMs. I’m sure you know how many “we met on Twitter” have gone viral.
2. Attend events, concerts etc…
I just said I should tell you that love will not come and find you under that duvet. So get your ass up and be OUTSIDE!!! Some of these events are even free, all you need to do is register online, and you’re good to go. Who knows, you just may be exchanging vows sooner than you thought.
3. Register At the GYM
Do you think it’s only people who are on a fitness journey that you’d find at the gym? Dey play! I’d suggest finding a Gym with correct baddies and Yoruba demons ASAP!
4. Please! Go To Church
I cannot overemphasize this, please go to church. Don’t just go, join units; Usher o, choir o, security o… sha do something and mingle!
5. Work/ Volunteering
It may feel weird to process, but did you know you’re most likely to find love where you spend the most time?
Get to know people you work with, but don’t ruin a good working relationship by being pushy.
6. Sign Up On A Dating Site
You’ve got to explore all your options right? So why not? Get on that dating site today but shine ya eye ooo, you don’t wanna get CATFISHED!
