(If You’re Feeling Brave)

If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to stress a Nigerian parent, the answer is simple: just live your life the way you want.

But some choices?
Ah… those ones will shake the entire household.

1. Be an Atheist

Ahhh. You don’t believe in God again?
So who is protecting you? Your data subscription??
At this point, you have to choose between deity or God.

2. Skip Morning Devotion

You woke up… and just went about your day?
No prayer? No “Thank you Lord”?

As how nauuu?

Are you now bigger than God or just feeling bold this morning?

3. Drop Out of University

Osheyyy
Egbeda Mark Zuckerberg.

As per the school you dropped out from is the same as Harvard abi?

Shey your college of education get rep?? Your parents will personally escort you back to school.

4. Call Them Out

You mean… correct them??
In this house??

You’ve chosen violence.
Because in their eyes, they are always right, even when they’re wrong.

5. Tell Their Relative “Shut Up”

Even if that aunty has been provoking you since 2008…

The moment you say “shut up,” you have officially become the problem.

Family meeting loading in 3…2…1…

6. Get a Septum Piercing

Eiiiiii!!
You want their enemies to laugh at them?

“To think I trained this child…”
Prepare for long lectures and random sighs for the next 6 months.

7. Become a DJ

So this is the dream??
To be carrying speaker up and down?

From “my child will be a doctor” to “please reduce the volume.”

Which one will stress your parents the most? Or better still… which one have you already tried?
