5 Funny Facts About African Parents

If you grew up in an African home, then you must have experienced some, if not all on the list. African parents are quite interesting to live with, and here are 5 hilarious facts about them

1. They have a high-speed accuracy for painful slippers attacks

African Parents, especially mothers do not hesitate to grab any pair of slippers in sight to manually reset your brain instead of verbally correcting you. They expect that slippers would do a faster and better job at doing that.

2. They have everlasting memories

A typical African parent never forgets even the slightest of details. Never make the mistake of offending them, and thinking they have forgotten simply because they refused to react at that particular time. My sister, the day they decide to descend on you, you will wonder if they are truly your parents.

3. Jesus Ambassadors on WhatsApp

Open your WhatsApp early in the morning and believe me, there is a message about Jesus waiting to be opened, sent to you by your Mother. It is usually about pages long. Hallelujah somebody!

4. They never apologize

I don’t want to know how right you are or how much your parents have wronged you, do not expect an apology from them, because it will never come. It’s like waiting for a taxi, at the seaport.

5. They always come first in class

I have never met an African Parent who did not come first in their class. Have you??? Our parents always use this as a means of taunting us. Even when you have done exceptionally well, they will always remind you that some of your peers must have done better. And then you hear the sermon of how they always came first when they were just like you.
