In a recent interview, Iyanya revealed the dirty details of the relationship between himself and former business partner, Ubi Franklin. Iyanaya spoke about the betrayal by Ubi Franklin and the series of event that led to his exit from the music label.
Starting out the 42-minute interview with Cool FM's popular OAP, Iyanya revealed how he was invited to be signed under the former boy-group, PSquare but decided to create a label called Made Men Music Group, with Ubi Franklin
The revelation got dirty when Iyanya accused Ubi Franklin of forging his signatures and removing his name from signed agreements. Iyanya further stated that Ubi cheated him out of some money made from Tekno's music. Ubi managed to convince Tekno that he wasn't liked by Iyanya, in an attempt to sabotage their relationship and swindle Iyanya.
According to Iyanya, a big fight broke out between himself and Ubi when he found out Tekno made over 30 Million Naira from his song "Duro" but Iyanya was only given N145,000.
"Tekno told me that he won't lie to me that since Duro came out that he has made over N30M. I had gotten only N145K from Tekno's career for the whole time. Do you know why I was this open to him? I didn't want him to think I was just here on the boss side, chopping your money and the whole thing, so I was like bro why would I hate you? I don't even take your money...that's how much I love you, I don't go for your money because I know you are young and you just started so whatever you are making now, I cant struggle that stuff with you. He was like no no no bro...i don't think you understand me, I have made over N30M from Duro. That was the first fight I had with Ubi, it was so serious,"
Iyanya further delved into the details of how Don Jazzy helped him after the left made men music. At that point, it seemed like he had joined Mavins as he kept pushing out music from under the record label. However, it was simply Don Jazzy's way of helping him get back on his feet.
