Have Relationships Become A Do-Or-Die Affair?

With the level of heartbreak flying helter-skelter, one would expect that many people would want to take a break. But no! The more heartbreaks, the more people want to get involved in this societal high horse known as RELATIONSHIPS.

A friend of mine recently got served hot breakfast on a platter, after she found out her boyfriend was cheating. You would expect her to be sober and probably never want to hear of men again.

Yinmu! She met someone recently who is currently doing an amazing job at sweeping her off her feet and I can tell that mama is on cloud 9.

If I got heartbroken today, I am sure to stay away till I get a divine intervention from Master Jesus. Tori, who is ready to start gulping bowls of ice cream?? Diabetes is real abeg!

As much as I love love, and buy the idea of happily ever after, it would bring me so much joy if we took more time in selecting our partners. This goes beyond looks and pockets.

Of course, for a woman, having a man with a fat pocket is important, but my dear wouldn’t you rather derive satisfaction in knowing that your significant other has what it takes to rise to the occasion?

Men, y’all can also do better than focus on looks. Look beyond the physical and look a bit more inward.

If dating for fun is what you want, then by all means. I mean, I very much doubt that this post would do you any good.

However, for those who are willing to give love another try after several dashes of hope, I’d say don’t rush. Take a chill pill. Be sure it’s what you want, and most importantly, make sure every moment counts.

And to those of us who are still on this ultimate search, koni suwa; koni re wa ooo (we refuse to get tired).
