This Israeli/Iran war, popularly known as ‘the 12-day war’ by the loud orange-haired man in the White House, is a conflict that has gotten the world’s attention.

If you didn’t know, this conflict started on June 13, 2025, and with all that has been happening, it has the propensity to escalate to a full-on war. And this got me wondering (no be small wonder o!)… Like I have been overthinking, and even fantasizing about what our country would be like and look like, if the 3rd world war ever becomes a reality, and we are not just observers but get involved as a part & parcel of the war!” Mehnnn, e no go funny o!

Think abourrit, e no dey fear you too? Imagine Lagos as a war post with rationed food, and you, being conscripted to the army, carrying bombs like handbags and guns like an accessory!?

Now imagine war together with air raids here!!!

This one no go be just war, e go be the end from the beginning in fact, benniging.

It’ll be the season finale.

We are finished, my friend!
Our airspace that can’t be relied on? Airspace, the same one that often needs fasting and prayers before flights land, would be a playground for missiles. Nigeria’s air defense system would be updating its software at Air Force HQ while bombs fly over Agege.

Boom! Just like that. Gone.

No more Nigeria.
We’ll just be wiped out of existence, Chinua Achebe. There was a Country that won’t just be for Biafra again, it’ll become the name of our whole nation.
We go just dey history books for the unborn generation to read, that’s if anybody is even left to write them.

Remember when Ukraine and Russia started their war back in February 2022? We, in this third world country (as they like referring to us), far far away from the action and the flying bombs, still got affected.

Two countries that aren’t even in Africa affected us with their war.

I’m sure you’re asking, how now??

Well, in case you didn’t know, Ukraine and Russia are one of the biggest suppliers of wheat, and Nigeria used to import from these countries.

Now see, since 2022 till today, that the war started, the price of bread has tripled in price.
Our beloved bread!!!

That hotttt soft loaf.
Bread became baked gold.
It drastically went from ₦400 to ₦700; now, a standard family loaf is sold for ₦1,800.

Chai!!! It is well my people.
Bread has entered the elite category.
Even bricklayers,  the OG kings of bread and soda can’t even afford that combo, omoooo.

It’s now past glory for them. Oh chim

So, abeg, if you’ve not been paying attention to international news, start now o. Pray this war ends soon, because it’s not just about foreign borders, it’s about real lives that have been lost, and a ripple effect that always somehow drips into our fragile Nigerian economy and existence.

Because one thing about global tension?
E no dey knock before e enter your house.
