It’s been a few days since the grand finale of #JP2025 wrapped up, and no, we are not yet over it. The memories are still living rent-free in our heads (especially those of us that streamed it all on socials).
“Wedding of the Year” doesn’t even begin to cut it, because Priscy (Priscilla Ojo Mkambala) and her Tanzanian hubby, Juma Jux (Juma Mussa Mkambala), gave us a full cinematic experience, shot in HD across Nigeria and Tanzania.
Omo, it was giving royalty, luxury, and timeless style. Let’s not even get started with the guests, the Nigerians who refused to carry last with their outfits and the Tanzanians, who refused to let their Nigerian counterparts outshine them, but this sha isn’t about the guests – even though they came correct with the slay.
This one is for the owners of the wedding: Priscy & Jux. Because their wedding wardrobe, is about to become Pinterest boards for brides and grooms until 3017.
But First, A Little Love Story
Like joke, like joke, it all started in early 2024. A business trip to Rwanda led to a meet-cute at a hotel lobby facilitated by Chioma Goodhair, and by mid-2024, the relationship was Insta-official.
Between August and September 2024, Jux flew to Nigeria to meet Priscy’s mom, aka the Queen Mother herself, Iyabo Ojo. Not long after, Iyabo confirmed the engagement in a BTS video from a dreamy pre-wedding shoot. Around the same time, Jux dropped Ololufe Mi with Diamond Platnumz…and guess who starred in the music video? Yesss, you guessed right. It was Priscy, looking like a goddess.
By December 2024, Iyabo let the cat out of the bag during a red carpet interview, revealing that the wedding would have four ceremonies (because one is not enough for this kind of love). Two in Naija, one in Tanzania, and a final destination affair.
And just like that, #JP2025 was born. Now let’s get into the fashion that had us taking screenshots like our lives depended on it.
