First of all, it’s no biggie to be 30 years old. I mean, it’s the age we’re all heading towards, if not the age we already are.
So, who cares if you’re 30 or 40? But, wait ooo, we never anticipated the sudden changes and emotional twists that would come with turning 30.
1. Children now call you ma/sir when they greet you:
“Good morning ma/sir” that’s what you hear all day. sometimes you don’t even answer, because come ooo, who is ma or sir? You that they were just dashing Christmas money yesterday? Omo reality shock hits you instantly.
2. Nobody really send you like that again:
You can be going through the worst and your light will still finish, your boss will call you at work, gas will finish in the kitchen, your toiletries will even finish join. Nobody really send your mental health out here ooo…When you’re ready, snap out of it and come and face your reality.
3. Your Bucket list is still very full:
Omooo what happened to ticking everything off your bucket list by 26, touring Africa, enjoying the safari in Kenya and south Africa, and having the time of your life before 30?
Now just look at it, 30 and still confused. Omo this life no truly balance at all ooo.
4. Responsibilities choke
You’re not even allowed to be responsible for yourself alone; you have a lot of things and people you’re responsible for and it can be so tiring.
Everyone expects that you to be stable now, organized, up and doing, but omooo let’s be honest, you sef don tire, you wany someone to take care of you too.
5. You Realize that 30 is not even old
You feel bad for calling that your mother’s sister an old lady when she turned 30, because now, you’re the new old woman and it doesn’t even feel like you’re old. You still feel like you’re 18.
You realize that 30 is just a number and it doesn’t truly affect how you are as a person. 30 by age, 30 at heart, because 30 is not even old!
See, at the end of the day, you don’t even need to kill yourself or even do pass yourself. 30 is the new interesting age, and i can speak for all of us when i say we all can’t wait to be 30!
