Okay, the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) may be behind us, but we are still feeling the heat from the red carpet. This time, there’s no walk of shame… Just fierce, shoulder-padded, head-turning moments that pressed our necks and flooded our timelines.

And let’s not lie, while we are here for the celebs, the real stars of the night are the designers who brought their A-game, crafting the show-stopping outfits that made us pause mid-scroll.

From Veekee James and SomobySomo to Tiannah Styling and a host of other creative powerhouses, these designers understood the assignment and then some. They stitched, sequined, and sculpted their way into our hearts, reminding us that when it comes to serving looks, Africans don’t just eat… They feast.

So, without further ado, here are 10 of the hottest AMVCA 11 red carpet looks and the creative minds behind them…

1. Osas Ighodaro x Veekee James
As she rightly said, it was giving ‘Mother Earth vibes’, and we felt it. Veekee James clearly decided that when the AMVCA rolls around, it was time to roll up her sleeves and finish work.

This dress had structure, sensuality, and a touch of celestial magic that made Osas look like she descended from the skies to grace the red carpet. Talk about divine beauty!

2. Enioluwa x Nwōsù Hq
No lies, if there’s one designer brand that has quietly crept up on us like a thief in the night and stolen our hearts, it’s Nwōsù Hq. This gender-fluid fashion brand has made a name for itself with its signature suits, and Enioluwa’s AMVCA look was simply divine.

Dripping in Swarovski crystals and bedazzled to perfection, Enioluwa looked like a million bucks, serving face, poise, and elegance in equal measure.

From the sharp cuts to the precision tailoring, Nwōsù Hq clearly understood the assignment. If this is what it means to be fluid in fashion, then sign us up!

3. Teminnikan x M I D É
When it comes to pushing the boundaries of fashion, MIDÉ clearly doesn’t play. The renowned model, Teminnikan, turned heads in a handwoven, earth-toned MIDÉ creation that screamed maximum attention to detail.

The piece was a Rattan-ed Up masterpiece, boasting intricate beadwork, abstract art, and layers of craftsmanship that only a true artist could pull off.

And let’s not forget the Lush Hair ponytail that perfectly complemented the entire look, adding that final touch of finesse.

From the dress to the jewellery, shoes, and accessories, this was a moment. And Teminnikan? She didn’t just show up, she showed out.

4. Uche Montana x SomobySomo
Ah, SomobySomo, a name synonymous with red carpet finesse. We had high expectations, and they did not disappoint.

Uche arrived at the AMVCA in a stunning, form-hugging creation that blended vibrant tones with earthy colours, showcasing the kind of craftsmanship that gets our hearts racing.

But it wasn’t just the colors that wowed us. The intricate detailing and statement sleeves added drama, flair, and a touch of goddess energy to the look. This outfit didn’t just hug curves, it demanded attention, and we were more than happy to oblige.

5. Mike Afolarin x T.I Nathan
Mike Afolarin is the man, and you can’t tell us otherwise. In the past few years, he has been living up to his bad-boy persona, serving us fresh Gen-Z fits that have us tripping every time.

As usual, he didn’t disappoint at the AMVCA, showing up in a bespoke T.I Nathan ensemble that screamed confidence and flair.

But if we are being honest, the real scene-stealer here was the shoes – those bold, commanding kicks that practically yelled, “I can pick the world up and drop it on your head.” You can’t tell us he didn’t nail it sha.

6. Diiadem x Styled By Layo
The word is ‘you sef no small!’ Styled By Layo is one fashion brand that I (the humble writer) have watched grow over the years and when ever any of her piece make it to the limelight, we are all in for it.

And as always the fashion boss and influencer embodied this look and took it to a whole new level. Talk about a butterfly that stunned, bedazzled and bloomed.

Repping THE MONARCH BUTTERFLY, ah Diiadem & her designer stole the show and we love to see it but that’s not all, the boss lady was bejewelled by Swarovski and you know they don’t play.

7. Tina Mba x Ann Cranberry Couture
We were holding our breath for this one, and Ann Cranberry Couture did not disappoint. Styled by fellow star actress Omowunmi Dada, veteran actress Tina Mba hit the AMVCA red carpet looking divine and otherworldly in a stunning green ensemble that oozed simplicity, elegance and drama.

From the dramatic sleeve details to the cascading train and intricate bejeweling, this look was nothing short of top-notch. It’s giving queen, it’s giving icon, and we are here for every moment of it.

8. Queen Mercy x Tiannah Styling
There’s no other way to describe the outfit worn by Queen Mercy Atang other than ingenious and iconic. Every year, we wait with bated breath to see what mind-bending masterpiece Tiannah Styling will bring to the AMVCA red carpet, and this year, she went all out – with pins.

Yes, you read that right. PINS! Thousands, if not a million, of them meticulously put together to create this stunning golden ensemble that screams major queen energy.

And honestly, who better to rock it than Queen Mercy herself, serving regal vibes with her head held high? We dobale for this level of creativity. This is a true work of art.

But real talk – would you wear this to an event? Be honest.

9. Akin Faminu x Deji & Kola
Let’s be real, is there any event where Akin Faminu doesn’t slay? You simply can’t catch this style maestro slipping, and in this custom Deji & Kola suit, he delivered 10/10, leaving no crumbs

Consequently, he snagged the Best Dressed Male award at the AMVCA 2025, walking away with a cool 1 million naira cash prize, courtesy of Amstel Malta.

This drip was undeniable, and with those BOZ Diamonds sparkling, he definitely shone bright like a diamond.

10. Doyin x Mitchelle Amadi
THE FRUITFUL DRESS, indeed! With your full chest, you can call this brand influencer’s ensemble nature’s favorite masterpiece.

Doyin pulled up in shades of green, gold, and brown, with intricate detailing that closely resembles tree roots, creating a look that felt straight out of an alternate reality.

Altogether, there is no doubt that this reality star really took us on a trip, and for that, we have to give her her flowers.
