I stayed in my university’s girls’ hostel and i had the most horrific experience ever.
I loved to read in our study room at night, infact i did it every night, exam period or not.
One particular night like this, i was in the study room, just me and one other girl, and for some weird reason, I kept staring out the window and what my eyes saw!
i saw a woman roasting yam with a small boy by her side at that time of the night.
I was so confused, why would someone be roasting yam by 2:am, who would buy it.
I was scared and i called the other girl to come see what I was seeing, she looked out the window but did not see a thing. I felt like I was dreaming.
I looked out again and saw her dishing out the yam in plates, there were three plates.
For some weird reason, I could hear everything they were saying.
The boy next to her asked her in Igbo who the third plate was for, and the woman looked up and replied “It’s for that aunty looking at us upstairs” I screamed and ran for my life back to my room. God forbid!
This happened life and direct, and by far the most horrific experience of my entire life. I went for serous prayers afterwards.

Madam Koi koi dey learn where bunk shaker dey.
I had just resumed Jss1 in my boarding school, and I kept hearing stories about a bunk shaker.
Me, I was a new student and the mistake i made was not being curious enough to ask what the bunk shaker stuff was, I just felt it was normal talk, till I got to experience it firsthand.
I stayed on the top bunk close to the door, and one night, my bunk started to shake aggressively, I opened my eyes a little to see what was out there, but I couldn’t see anything.
It was at that moment that I understood the concept of the bunk shaker.
Ahhhh I wet myself out of fear.
After that day, I didn’t experience it again, but I made sure to never doubt stories like that again in my life.

I stayed in the girls’ hostel in my university, somewhere in eastern Nigeria.
one night, middle of the night when we had all retired to our rooms and all doors had been locked, we started to hear voices inside the hostel, like a bunch of people were passing our hallway, pounding something. Afterwards, I could hear babies screaming, crying loudly.
My roommates too could hear it! Omo we were so scared, like what was going on.
Nobody could muster up the courage to go look at what was happening outside.
In the morning, that was the talk of the whole hostel, all the girls had heard it.
The Kabashing that morning no be here ooo, prayers flying left right and centre.
We were hoping it was a once and for all kind of thing, but guess what, it happened the next day at midnight.
Omo the next day and days after that I didn’t sleep in the hostel again, i went to squat with a friend instead.
Creepy stuff, i tell you.
