Don’t Do These On A First Date

Don’t Do These On A First Date

First dates can make you jittery; don’t fret, it’s only normal. Following these few steps will make you navigate things better.

You’re allowed to thank me later…

1. Don’t spend time talking about yourself

Getting carried away and self-absorbed while on a date is very easy. The most interesting thing to talk about is oneself. But calm down biko, avail the other person a chance to speak as well. This way, you get to listen more and learn about them.

2. Don’t over compliment

It’s okay to say, “You look good”, or “Thanks, I had a good time”. But let it end there… Don’t go overboard. Aseju ni “you smell heavenly”… Pele o…. Adorun bo

3. Don’t talk trashy about your ex

Many make the mistake of badmouthing their exes to save face with the new person. My dear, there’s no assurance that they’re going to be your “next”, so why bother? It’s not a good look on you; don’t do it.

4. If you’ve been asked to pick a location, don’t pick an extravagant spot

Many make this mistake. The location of your date does not determine the outcome. Read that again. It’s okay to go to the movies, games, paint and sip, a picnic. Matter of fact, a spot that encourages activities is the best for a first date. Yup! You heard that right.

5. Avoid talking about s*x as much as you can

You don’t want to give off a first wrong impression, so you might want to keep it PG bro/sis.

6. If you’re being pressed about your last relationship, keep it classy and cute. Say “I don’t kiss and tell”. Period!!!

7. Don’t treat the service guys badly

Some of you have the smelliest attitude towards the service guys. It’s neither cute nor bougie! Furthermore, you’d be sending a nasty message to your date. We don’t want that happening.
