Civil Society Joint Nigeria Crisis Action Committee (JN-CAC) has alongside some big names in the country urged Nigerians to join in dedicating today, Monday the 28th of May as National day for mourning all those who lost their lives due to violent killings in the country.
Amongst those who support the idea is popular singer Tuface and Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, human rights lawyer, who has called on Nigerians across the world to mourn those who have been killed in recent times.
Odinkalu, a former chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), said the government has neglected the dead.

We cannot build a Nigeria of our dream with the ongoing senseless violence and killings across our great Nation. Let us unite and shelve our sword, drop our guns and stop the hate but amplify LOVE for humanity. #Nigeriamourns #OneDeathTooMany #WeAreAllWeHave #CannotLookAway pic.twitter.com/ojuK1kpUj4— Hamzat B.
