Nigerian Celebrities you might not know were related

While siblings being in the spotlight isn’t new in the music industry, Here are some Nigerian Celebrities I bet you didn’t know were related.

 

1. Don Jazzy and D’Prince

The now-defunct group “ Mo hits records”, had two sets of brothers with Don Jazzy and D’ Prince being one of them. They both have grown to be successful Label bosses with Don Jazzy leading the famous Mavin Records and his brother being the CEO of Jonzing World, a label that houses superstars such as Rema and Ruger.

2. MI Abaga and Jesse Jagz

Nigerian Rap legends, M.I. Abaga and Jesse Jagz are brothers and it’s surprising how a lot of people still don’t know. M.I. Abaga is the elder brother to Jesse Jagz. M.I Abaga is also a record producer while Jesse Jagz is also a model. They were both signed under Chocolate City Records Label in which M.I Abaga was the CEO.

3. Yomi Casual and AY Makun

With one of them dominating the fashion space, and the other being a major name in stand-up comedy scene in Nigeria, it’s safe to say that their parents have every right to brag. However, not too many people remember that these two are related.

4. E-Money and Kcee

Kcee and E-money’s relationship goes beyond label boss and artiste even though E-money owns 5-star music, which Kcee is signed to. Their striking resemblance already gives away their relation and if that didn’t do, their similar taste for luxury should give you a clue.

5. Dakore and Timini Egbuson

Timini and Dakore Egbuson are Nollywood actors. The two are brother and sister, flesh and blood. Dakore is the elder sibling while Timini is the younger sibling. They both have created reputable names from themselves in the Nigerian acting scene.

6. D’Banj and K Switch

Mo’hits had two sets of brothers and D’banj and Kayswitch are the other half of that. Their sibling ties peaked on Kayswitch’s romantic tune, Obimo on which he featured his big brother who sang and also played his famous harmonica.

7. Olamide and DJ Enimoney

Many might know of the relationship Olamide and DJ Enimoney share as label boss and official label DJ but they are more than that and are actual brothers with Olamide being the older of the two. Word has it that it was Olamide who coined the name Enimoney for his DJ brother by switching the last syllable of his name, Eniola to the English meaning. 

8. Niniola and Teni

You can see Teni the Entertainer and queen of Afrohouse, and Niniola, kicking it as sisters and enjoying each other’s company. And this is because they both have similar personalities, from being confident in their skin to being playful with a shared love for explicit yet fun lyricism, the talented sisters are children of the late S.O Apata, undoubtedly making him proud as powerhouse siblings in the Nigerian music industry.
