Nigerian Rapper, Zlatan Ibile in his latest song “Bust down” featuring Asake made a revelation that made listeners hears to stand. He said “If not be messiah, bawo ni mo shey ma gbe half a million dollars saya?” which in English translates to “If not for God, how would i have half a million dollars swinging across my chest?”.
The said lyrics leads us to believe he’s bragging about his custom “Zanku” chain which he purchased from Godson Umeh jewelries around October last year.
While it’s not new to see artistes with expensive chains with the likes of Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid flaunting their numerous ones almost on a daily basis, the price is still very staggering to the common man. I mean, that’s worth a couple estates ?.
Nevertheless, i think it’s a really good buy for an artiste of his magnitude. The chain represents the luxury and evidence of success that every top artiste wants to exude.
But then again, i guess this is just more evidence that music money is not anybody’s mate. ?
