That saying that goes like this “You never know what you have till you lose it” is just so accurate!
Let me tell me walk you down memory lane…Nostalgia in 3…2…1…
Tell me why few years after not being able to stand on an ATM queue at the bank, waiting for your turn to withdraw, I suddenly miss it.
The chitchat, the little engagement with people on the queue, the struggle to withdraw, and finally getting to the front of the queue only to realize that “The ATM Machine is Unable to Dispense Funds” in other words the money in the machine has finished!
Kai! this thing can pain ehnnnn
You grumble, curse the bank for not putting in enough money, you even go ahead to insult the person in front of you that withdrew all the cash without considering people behind.
After being sad for 1 minute, you move to another bank, only to meet a long queue and one very wicked sun!
Ewoooooo
Now, remember when we had to walk miles down the street to rent CDs of Nollywood blockbusters, back when the film ads still sounded like one of Buster Rhyme’s songs. LOL!
What an era. You definitely had to be there to understand exactly what we’re talking about, trust me.
You had to be very careful to make sure the CD didn’t get scratch marks, to avoid wahala.
Worst-case scenario was now after renting the CD, then your DVD player decides to rage-bait you by spoiling! Hei, this was the worst feeling back then.
Omooooo things were really simpler back then oooo, and we didn’t even get to appreciate it enough before all these Gen Z gbas-gbos we’re currently facing.
Oya last one, last one
Remember when you’d have to struggle for the television remote with your siblings, fighting like your lives depended on it? Now, look at you, sitting in front of the Tv alone, nobody to drag the remote with you, just you, a dark room and the billing that wants to finish you.
Omoooo truly, Adulthood na real scam!
If you remember more, you can put it down in the comments, let us finish ourselves with healthy nostalgia.
