Joeboy leaves Mr Eazi’s record label Empawa after 5 years

Afrobeats superstar, Joseph Akinfenwa-Donus, known as Joeboy has announced his exit from Mr Eazi’s Empawa after 5 years since they discovered him in 2017.

He has signed a deal with International music powerhouse, Warner Music, allowing him to launch his own record label, Young Legend.

During his time, he launched two EPs, two albums, and a multitude of hit singles and features, accumulating over 2 billion streams on major streaming platforms.

It is safe to say that Joeboy is following in the steps of Olamide, Don Jazzy, and his former label boss, Mr Eazi with the creation of his new outfit.

With the aim of taking his career to its zenith and possibly being the home to some of Afrobeats future superstars, Joeboy definitely has a lot in store for the lovers of Afrobeats.
