My Dad Is Too Demanding. I’m Only A Corper. What Do I Do?

My Dad Is Too Demanding. I'm Only A Corper. What Do I Do?

Was it not just last week we discussed dumping responsibility on firstborns? Looks like it has progressed to other kids of the family as well.

Heyyy besties, how are you feeling today? I missed you over the last few days. What have you been up to? For me, my week was quite eventful and productive.

Anyway, I truly think parents need to do better and allow their kids to “breathe”. This lady complains about how her father constantly puts pressure on her for bills. She’s exhausted but doesn’t know how to say no.

Btw, if you’re struggling with saying no, read this article on how to say “No”.

“I’m a corper, I go to my place of work from home. I earn close to 80k monthly my dad knows about this but all he does is try to collect the money from me one way or the other.. it’s hard for me to say no to him.. I’m worried because I feel if I continue this way I won’t have savings when I’m done with serving..

He collects money for refilling of gas, light, and any utility bill even as low as data, always subbing for him.
Just last week, his sister was in the clinic and he made me send 20k to her to get drugs and all he was saying is Isn’t she your aunt??? Whereas he has the money. My mom said I’m the cause because I told him how much I was earning.

I need this to stop. I don’t know how I don’t.
If anything spoils in the house I’ll bring the money to repair it.
I know that for the fact that I’m staying home, I’ll provide as little as I can but it’s now Soo much..”

Have you ever been in such a situation? What approach did you take? Tell us in the comments.

Ire o (Bye)!
