If politics is supposed to be serious business, somebody forgot to send Nigeria the memo.
Our leaders don’t run a government, they run a whole cinematic universe, stand-up comedy even! sometimes tragic, most times, highly unbelievable.
Not to take us back in time, but do you remember when a snake was accused of swallowing 38 million Naira?! Guysss, how did we believe or swallow this type of lie, and how did our leaders even think of coming up with such unbelievable lie. Do we look like our favourite colour is Five?
As if that was not enough, they told us a monkey broke into Aso rock and escaped with a huge sum of money. Hei! *Cries in disbelief.
The thing is not that we actually believe the lies they tell us, but it’s just quite unbelievable to think that they think we would believe such liesss! Guys, it’s the sheer effrontery for me!!
Nooooo I’m not pissed o! thinking of it, I’m just amazed at the lack of creativity and effort in the lies they tell us.
The National Assembly is basically Nollywood with microphones, heated arguments, dramatic walkouts, a little chair swinging and the occasional nap mid‑session.
Who needs soap operas when you can stream plenary highlights? who needs netflixxxx!
Omo, when Nigerians say our country should be featured on Netflix one of these days, trust us, we know what we are saying and exactly what our eyes have seen in this country.
Don’t get it twisted ooo, it’s not like we’re happy with how things are playing out and the numerous lies we’re being fed, it’s just that if we don’t smile, we will cry!! We will cry you a river!
So, all these being said, I would need us all to ponder on these effortless lies and decide that truly, enough is enough, and we’re fed up with incompetent leaders!
