These days, apps are not just apps, they’re survival kits for Nigerians. Either to save you from getting lost, from going crazy, or simply to just forget everything going on around you.

The country is hard enough, and these apps keep us in check sometimes.

l. Google Maps:

Where would we be today without our google maps. How else would we find all the shortcuts and avoid traffic, if not for our google maps.

These days, Nigerian don’t move around without them google maps application. Actually, i think we’ve all fallen in love with that feminine voice that says “In 200 kilometers, drive on to babasuwe street”

2. Music Apps:

Are you even a Nigerian if you don’t move around with your headsets or earphones plugged in? The music helps block out all the craziness happening around you…but abeg ooo, keep it at a minimum volume, so you can know when others are running for their lives, or when a bus is coming behind you.

Extra tips for my girlies or my shy people, having that earphone plugged in can make walking on the road easier.

Trust me.

3.X/Twitter:

The home of gists, political debates, hilarious tweets, and premium gbasgbos  every two Eke market days. Twitter is more than an app to many Nigerians; it’s more like our digital town square where we hold regular meetings on everything.

Where else would Nigerians rant and let out their frustration if not on twitter! This is the Nigerian meeting ground.

4. Uber/Bolt:

Danfo buses, keke, and okadas are fun until you’re late for a meeting or not just feeling like flying from one bus to the other. That’s where Uber and Bolt come in.

The apps Nigerians use when they want comfort, speed, and a break from the whole Nigerian gragra.

Sometimes, you’re just not in the mood for all the unnecessary sufferhead.

5.WhatsApp:

Not like we use WhatsApp for anything special like that, but we must always have WhatsApp, it’s like a silent law. WhatsApp has managed to replace regular SMS.

How else do we talk to our parents, friends overseas, and most of all, the unnecessary group we’re all in, that we can never leave.

WhatsApp is like that toxic ex you want to leave, but you can’t, just because he does all the right things… (IYKYK)

We’re all in this together fam.

6. Food Apps:

We love food and that’s for a fact. Na person wey chop go work abegggg.

The average Nigerian has a food ordering app on their phone, and you can’t even judge us. If you livee in Nigeria, you’ll understand the constant need to eat. You need to have strength to survive in this country. If you like don’t eat ooo.

So now, i ask you, can you go a day without using any of these apps as a Nigerian?

Let’s know the apps you can’t live without in the comments!!!
