Zero Grammys for Afrobeats at the 66th edition of the award ceremony.

This is a sad period for all the Afrobeats artistes nominated at the 66th Grammy awards as they all lost in their respective categories.

This includes Burna Boy losing all 4 nominations, Davido losing 3 and Asake, Olamide, and Ayra Starr losing their one nominations.

Here is the list of the categories they were nominated in and who they lost to :

Burna Boy

* Best Melodic Rap performance – Lost to “All my life” by Lil Durk & J.Cole.

* Best African Music Perfomance – Lost to  “Water” by Tyla.

* Best Global Music Album – Lost to “This Moment” by Shakti.

* Best Global Music Performance – Lost to “Pashto” by Bela Fleck Banjo, Edgar Meyer & Zakirh Tabla.

Davido 

* Best African Music Perfomance – Lost to  “Water” by Tyla.

* Best Global Music Album – Lost to “This Moment” by Shakti.

* Best Global Music Performance – Lost to “Pashto” by Bela Fleck Banjo, Edgar Meyer & Zakirh Tabla.

Asake & Olamide 

* Best African Music Perfomance – Lost to  “Water” by Tyla.

Ayra Starr

* Best African Music Perfomance – Lost to  “Water” by Tyla.
