Let’s be honest, nobody makes it alone, and anyone who tells you they did is lying!
Your circle is your net worth, and in this Lagos, you can’t afford to be moving with just anybody.
So, who should be around you?
1. The Truth-Teller

This one doesn’t clap for everything. You show them your business idea, your outfit, your “I’m about to text my ex” draft, and they look at you and say, “Don’t.” They are not hating ooo; they are protecting you from yourself.
Keep them close, even when their honesty stings like hot pepper, because you need it!
2. The Hustler

You see these ones, they’re all about making it! Their calendar is full, their ambition is loud, and somehow their energy is very contagious. Stay around this person long enough and you will start answering emails on time and finishing things quickly.
Nobody can stay lazy beside someone who’s building. Their grind will call yours out.
3. The Day-One Person

They knew you before the job title, before the glow-up, before the “we should link up” people showed up. They remember your struggle era and love you anyway. When everything else changes, this person is your proof that you are still you.
Don’t ever lose their number, you need them.
4. The One Who’s Ahead of You

Someone older, wiser, or simply further down the road. They’ve made the mistakes you’re about to make and can tell you which turn to avoid. That’s if you’ll not be a Coconut head about it ooo.
A good mentor doesn’t just give advice; they open doors, drop your name in rooms you haven’t entered yet, and connect you. The only thing is for you to be humble enough to learn from them.
5. The Minister of Enjoyment

The one who makes you laugh until your stomach hurts, sends you the dumbest memes, and reminds you that life is not just about hustling. You need someone who feeds your spirit, not just your ambition.
Burnout is real, and this person just always finds a way to make you relaxxxxx.
If you have even one of them, or you’re lucky enough to have all of them, you’ve made it in life ooooo.
