Big Brother Naija is back, and Nigerians are doing what we do best, losing our entire minds over strangers in a house for our entertainment. As it should be.
But of course, right on cue, the mature ones have resumed their annual duty: reminding us that the country is on fire and we have the audacity to be distracted.
Wait ooo, was there no distraction during the world cup?
I mean, that was the trendiest subject in Nigeria at the time, even when Nigeria, our own country did not qualify.
I didn’t hear anybody talk about distractions. But oga-Madam, now it’s time for BBN and the maturity talk comes in?
Omoooooo.
Okay, for peace to reign, let the mature people pay attention to the country, while the immature ones watch BBN and banter online like they’re getting paid for it.
Is that okay?
I’m trying to offer a long-lasting solution to this problem, so we can all have peace and bring peace to this land once and for all.
At some point we have to ask, is it really about distraction, or is it just that some people can’t stand watching other Nigerians be happy for even one season?”
How about having eyes on both a reality Tv show, a football game or anything at all, and the country at the same time!
We can definitely do two things at the same time. So, save the immature talk this year.
Thankssssssss
