If anyone said they saw a shady person completely dressed in all black at a cinema, don’t be scared, it’s just me going to watch Barbie ?.
Now, let’s get to the review…
Firstly, I think I’m in love with Margot Robbie, and you can’t even blame me, that woman is fineeeee. Her beauty and poise coupled with acting prowess really brought the image of barbie that you would imagine in your head to life. She was perfectly casted in my opinion.
And Ryan Gosling as the stereotype Ken? I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think the person in charge of casting did a fantastic job btw. With his reactions as Ken, you’d almost think he’s just reliving events have happened to him, only he’s getting payed this time. Fantastic acting.
The graphics are great, the music for each scene fits perfectly and the whole set is really just beautiful to watch.
You might think, “it’s a Barbie movie, it’s probably just lame and girly”, but this movie is a whole lot more insightful that you would’ve ever dreamed. This movie is about a journey of self discovery and finding your place in the real world even though everything seems to be working against you. (That’s all I can say without spoiling anything for those who haven’t seen it ?).
The Barbie movie is playful, lively and colorful with a satisfying amount of dance sequences, everything you’d expect when you walk into a cinema to see a movie about a children’s doll.
So take it from an alpha male who went to watch Barbie with mid expectations and got the shock of his life, this is a MUST WATCH!
